Description

Standing approximately 240 mm tall, this Masterlise Battou Ver. figure of Himura Kenshin recreates the iconic battō stance from the Kyoto Douran arc. Kenshin's crimson hair is swept back and tied, his distinctive cross-shaped scar sharply detailed on the left cheek. He wears a traditional Meiji-era outfit: a deep red kimono and flowing white hakama, sculpted to suggest motion with finely carved folds and dynamic movement in the fabric. The reverse-blade sakabatō is captured mid-draw, with subtle paintwork accentuating metal reflections and a slightly dulled edge appropriate to the sword's unique design. Meticulous facial paint preserves his calm yet resolute expression, while layered shading and textured sculpting highlight seams, fabric grain, and realistic creasing. The included branded display base secures the dramatic pose for stable display.

Himura Kenshin, originally known as the feared assassin Hitokiri Battōsai, is a central figure in Rurouni Kenshin set against the backdrop of Japan's Meiji Restoration. After participating in violent conflicts to shape the new era, he is haunted by the cost of his actions and vows never to kill again, taking up the sakabatō, a reverse-edged sword, as both practical tool and moral symbol. As a wandering rurouni, Kenshin protects the weak while seeking atonement for his past, balancing a gentle, humble demeanor with exceptional swordsmanship. The Kyoto Douran arc pushes him to reconcile his pacifist oath with the need to confront threats like Shishio Makoto, testing his beliefs, friendships, and resolve. His connections with allies such as Kaoru, Sanosuke, Yahiko, and complex rivals deepen his journey of redemption and highlight themes of responsibility, mercy, and the long shadow of former violence.
