Overview
Up is a 2009 American animated adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It follows Carl Fredricksen, an elderly widower who fulfills a lifelong dream by tying thousands of balloons to his house and flying to South America. He is unexpectedly joined by Russell, a young Wilderness Explorer, and together they encounter exotic wildlife, a floating house, and the legendary explorer Charles Muntz. The film is known for its emotional opening sequence and heartwarming story.
