She is a crusader who is known for her masochistic tendencies and strong sense of duty. Despite her noble background, Darkness is clumsy and often ends up in embarrassing situations, much to her delight. She is fiercely loyal to her friends and will go to great lengths to protect them, even if it means putting herself in danger. Her character provides a lot of comedic relief in the series, as her serious demeanor often contrasts with her less-than-serious actions. Over the course of the series, Darkness develops a close bond with her party members, particularly Kazuma, and her character shows significant growth as she learns to balance her noble responsibilities with her personal desires.
