Naofumi Iwatani is the protagonist of the anime series 'Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari' (The Rising of the Shield Hero). Initially an ordinary otaku, he is summoned to a parallel world as the Shield Hero, one of four legendary heroes tasked with saving the world from calamity.
