Noriko Takaya is the protagonist of the anime series 'Top wo Nerae!' (Gunbuster). She is a young, enthusiastic girl who dreams of becoming a space pilot like her father, who died in a space mission. Despite her initial lack of skills and confidence, Noriko's determination and perseverance lead her to overcome challenges and grow into a capable pilot. Under the mentorship of Coach Ohta and alongside her friend Kazumi Amano, she trains relentlessly to protect Earth from an alien threat. Her character arc is central to the themes of growth, friendship, and sacrifice in the series.
