Overview
Gedo Senki is the original Japanese title of the Studio Ghibli fantasy animated film known internationally as Tales from Earthsea. It is based on Ursula K. Le Guin’s Earthsea novels and was directed by Goro Miyazaki. The story follows Prince Arren and the wizard Sparrowhawk as they investigate a growing imbalance in the world caused by a young prince’s fear and a powerful sorcerer’s ambitions. The film is noted for its atmospheric visuals and themes of identity, nature, and harmony.
