Overview
Matango is the original Japanese title for the 1963 horror film often known internationally as Attack of the Mushroom People. Directed by Ishirō Honda, it follows a group of shipwrecked people who become stranded on a mysterious island and discover a fungus that transforms those who eat it into monstrous, mushroom-like beings.
