Overview
Juuouki is the main romaji title for the series, referring to the original Japanese work commonly known as Juubee Ninpuuchou (also rendered as Ninja Scroll in English). It follows the wandering swordsman Jubei Kibagami as he becomes entangled in a deadly conspiracy involving supernatural monsters, political intrigue, and secret ninja factions. Known for its violent action, stylish animation, and dark historical fantasy tone, it became one of the most recognizable anime films of the 1990s.
