Fate/stay night is a Japanese visual novel developed by Type-Moon, first released in 2004. The story follows a group of mages and their summoned heroes, known as Servants, who compete in a battle royale called the Holy Grail War. The winner of the war is said to be able to have any wish granted by the Holy Grail. The series has spawned numerous adaptations, including anime, manga, and games, all expanding on the original's intricate storyline and character development.
