As my very first figure review, I couldn’t help but pick Marin Kitagawa in her Liz cosplay from My Dress-Up Darling. This Taito T-most figure is a perfect example of how far prize figures have come, and how much value you can get when a manufacturer really puts in the effort. Right away, the pose steals the show. Marin’s bent leg, which is detached from the base, gives the figure a lively sense of motion, and her playful claw-hands pose near her face captures her energetic personality perfectly. The sculpt feels dynamic and cute, and it displays wonderfully from any angle. Additionally, the heart-shaped base is so cute! Her face is where this figure truly shines. The expression matches her anime appearance exceptionally well. It's bright, cheerful, and full of charm. The slightly open mouth with her pointy fangs showing a big smile is absolutely adorable, and the matte finish on her skin avoids that overly glossy look some prize figures suffer from. Considering this is a prize figure, the size is impressive. Standing at around 11 inches tall, it has real shelf presence and can easily rival the visual impact of a lot of more expensive scale figures. The paintwork is also excellent for its category: clean, vibrant, and carefully applied. While it’s not hand-painted like a high-end scale figure (as expected), the overall paint job is far above what the price point might suggest. Taito truly outdid themselves here. For a figure that’s this tall, well-sculpted, and visually striking, the value is outstanding. It feels less like a typical prize figure and more like a beautiful scale figure you’d proudly display front and center. I am looking forward to seeing where else Taito goes with their T-most line!
