Enki Viral is a prominent antagonist-turned-ally in the anime series Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Viral is a Beastman who initially pilots the Gunmen Enki, and serves as a loyal subordinate to Lordgenome. Fiercely determined and bound by a strong sense of pride, Viral often clashes with the main characters, Simon and Kamina. Over the course of the series, his ideals are challenged, eventually leading him to join Team Dai-Gurren and fight for humanity’s freedom.
