Hotaru Ichijou is a fifth-grade transfer student from Tokyo who moves to the rural village of Asahigaoka in the anime series Non Non Biyori. Despite her young age, she is quite mature for her years and is considerably taller than her classmates. Hotaru quickly becomes friends with the other children in the village, bringing a fresh perspective to their close-knit group.
