Genji Shimada is a character from the video game Overwatch. He is a cyborg ninja who was once the carefree youngest son of the Shimada clan. After a near-fatal encounter with his brother Hanzo, Genji was saved by Overwatch and transformed into a living weapon. Struggling with his new identity, Genji eventually finds peace with himself through the guidance of the omnic monk Zenyatta. In the game, Genji is a highly mobile damage hero known for his agility, shurikens, and the ability to deflect enemy attacks.
