Overview
Kikyo is a central character in the anime series InuYasha. She was a powerful and revered priestess tasked with protecting the Sacred Jewel, the Shikon no Tama. Kikyo's life takes a tragic turn when she falls in love with Inuyasha, a half-demon. Misled by Naraku, she is mortally wounded, believing Inuyasha has betrayed her. After her death, her soul is reincarnated into Kagome Higurashi. Kikyo is later resurrected and plays a complex role, navigating her lingering feelings for Inuyasha and her duty to vanquish Naraku.
