Overview

Chise Hatori is the protagonist of "Mahoutsukai no Yome" (The Ancient Magus' Bride). She is a young Japanese girl with a troubled past who becomes the apprentice and future bride of Elias Ainsworth, a powerful magus. Chise possesses rare magical abilities and is known as a Sleigh Beggy, which means she attracts magical beings and can perform impressive feats of magic. Throughout the series, Chise learns about the magical world, discovers her own identity, and finds a sense of belonging and family with Elias and her new friends.
