Basara Nekki is the main protagonist of the anime series Macross 7. He is the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Fire Bomber. Throughout the series, he pilots a custom VF-19 fighter, the Fire Valkyrie, using his songs as a weapon against the enigmatic alien threat. His carefree, yet determined personality often clashes with military authorities, but his unwavering commitment to his ideals inspires those around him.
