Overview
Victor Fries, also known as Mr. Freeze, is a fictional character and a supervillain appearing in DC Comics, primarily known as one of Batman's adversaries. He is a brilliant cryogenicist who, after an industrial accident, must wear a cryogenic suit to survive. Obsessed with saving his terminally ill wife, Nora, he turns to a life of crime to fund his research. His cold demeanor and tragic backstory make him a complex character. In the Batman series, Mr. Freeze is often portrayed as a sympathetic villain, driven by love and desperation, rather than pure malice.
