Buzz Lightyear is one of the main characters in the Toy Story series, a franchise created by Pixar Animation Studios. He is a space ranger action figure and one of Andy's favorite toys. Initially, Buzz is unaware that he is a toy and believes himself to be a real space ranger. Throughout the series, his character evolves as he forms strong friendships with other toys, especially Woody. Buzz is known for his bravery, loyalty, and catchphrase, 'To infinity and beyond!'
