Piplup, known as ポッチャマ (Pocchama) in Japanese, is a Water-type Pokémon from the Pokémon series. It is a small, penguin-like creature with a blue body and white belly, known for its prideful and stubborn nature. Piplup is often depicted as being confident and independent, making it a challenging Pokémon to train. Despite its stubbornness, Piplup is loyal and brave, often stepping up to protect its friends. In the series, Piplup is primarily known as the partner Pokémon of Dawn, one of the main characters in the Pokémon Diamond & Pearl saga.
