Overview
Splinter is the wise rat sensei and father figure of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In most versions of the series, he is the mutant form of Hamato Yoshi, or a rat trained by Yoshi, depending on the continuity. He serves as the turtles’ mentor, teaching them ninjutsu, discipline, and moral guidance while protecting them from enemies like the Foot Clan and Shredder. Splinter is central to the team’s identity, acting as both guardian and spiritual leader.
