Overview
Oompa Loompa is a fictional worker from Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They are small, orange-skinned, green-haired helpers who perform specialized tasks in the factory, from operating machines to cleaning up trouble. In the story, they serve as a chorus-like presence, singing moralizing songs after each child's misbehavior and downfall. Their role is to reinforce the book's lessons about greed, selfishness, and poor manners through humor, rhythm, and satire.
