Overview
Novice is the starting character class in Ragnarok Online, serving as the basic beginner role for all new players. It represents an inexperienced adventurer who has just entered the world of Rune-Midgarts and is learning the fundamentals of combat, movement, and survival. Novices are not a specific story character but a playable class archetype. Their role in the game is to act as the entry point before players choose advanced job paths such as Swordsman, Mage, Archer, Thief, Merchant, or Acolyte.
