Overview
Emil Castagnier is the main protagonist of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, the sequel set in the world of Tales of Symphonia. He is a shy, hesitant boy from the village of Palmacosta who becomes bonded with the mysterious Ratatosk, the Lord of Monsters. Throughout the story, Emil struggles with his identity, courage, and the burden of Ratatosk’s power while traveling with Marta and others. His role is central to the sequel’s plot, driving the conflict between humans, monsters, and the remnants of the old world.
