Rein is one of the twin princesses in Fushigiboshi no Futagohime and serves as a central protagonist of the series. She is the more energetic, outspoken, and impulsive twin compared to Fine, often acting on her emotions and jumping into adventures with enthusiasm. Despite her carefree nature, she is kind-hearted and loyal, and she grows throughout the story by learning responsibility, teamwork, and the meaning of becoming a proper princess.
