Overview
The Night King is the primary antagonist in Game of Thrones, the HBO television adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series. He is the mysterious and powerful leader of the White Walkers and the undead army beyond the Wall. Created by the Children of the Forest, he becomes a symbol of death, winter, and existential threat to the living. His role in the series is to drive the larger conflict against humanity and the forces defending Westeros.
