Overview
Kotoishi Naru is a lively young girl from the island of Gotō in Barakamon. She is one of the first locals to welcome calligrapher Seishū Handa after he moves there, and she quickly becomes one of his closest friends. Curious, energetic, and outspoken, Naru often drags Handa into the everyday life of the island, helping him grow as both an artist and a person. She serves as a central source of comedy, warmth, and emotional support throughout the series.
