Overview
Bardiel is an Angel in Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition, specifically appearing in Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. It infects and takes control of Unit-03, turning the Eva into a deadly threat during its activation test. Bardiel’s role is to create one of the series’ most shocking and tragic battles, forcing Shinji to confront the horror of fighting a possessed Evangelion. As an Angel, it serves as a major obstacle and a catalyst for intense emotional conflict among the pilot characters and NERV.
