Overview
Spawn is the central antihero of the Spawn franchise, originally created as Al Simmons, a former U.S. government assassin who is killed and sent to Hell. He returns to Earth as a Hellspawn after making a deal with the demon Malebolgia, gaining powerful supernatural abilities but losing much of his former life. In the series, Spawn serves as both protagonist and tragic figure, fighting demons, corrupt forces, and his own dark fate while struggling with identity, redemption, and vengeance.
