Overview
Koubu is not a human character but the name of the iconic steam-powered combat mecha used by the Imperial Combat Revue in Sakura Taisen. Designed to fight demonic threats, the Koubu serves as the team’s main battle unit and symbolizes the series’ blend of Taisho-era style, theater, and science fiction. Piloted by the main cast, each Koubu is customized to its user and plays a central role in protecting Tokyo from supernatural enemies.
