Sanae Furukawa is a major supporting character in Clannad. She is the warm, optimistic wife of Akio Furukawa and the mother of Nagisa Furukawa. Sanae is known for her gentle personality, strong maternal presence, and her often humorous but earnest attempts at baking bread, which are a recurring running gag in the series.
