Overview
Alita is the main protagonist of Gunnm (Battle Angel Alita). She is a cyborg girl who is found in the Scrapyard with no memory of her past, then rebuilt and revived by the cyberdoctor Ido. Curious, fierce, and highly skilled in combat, she becomes a hunter-warrior and later pursues her lost identity and purpose. Her journey drives the series as she struggles through brutal battles, personal discovery, and questions of humanity, freedom, and selfhood.
