Overview
Hikari Yamanoue is a fictional character from Pocket Monsters, known internationally as Pokémon. She is a cheerful, energetic young Pokémon Coordinator from the Sinnoh region who dreams of becoming a Top Coordinator. Hikari travels with Ash and Brock for much of the series, learning from battles and contests while helping the group with her optimism and determination. She is one of the main female companions in the Pokémon anime’s Diamond and Pearl arc, and her role centers on Pokémon Contests and personal growth.
