Overview
Chiaki Chigira is a supporting character in Accel World. He is a classmate and friend of Haruyuki Arita, appearing as part of the school-life cast around Umesato Junior High. Chiaki is depicted as a calm, ordinary student who helps ground the story’s more dramatic virtual battles with everyday school interactions. While not a major combatant in the Brain Burst world, he contributes to the series by showing Haruyuki’s social environment and the contrast between normal school life and the accelerated conflicts of the game.
