Overview
Orthrus is a mythological demon and recurring creature in the Shin Megami Tensei series, usually depicted as a two-headed hellhound. In the games, Orthrus serves as a hostile enemy, summonable demon, or fusion result depending on the title. It is inspired by the Greek mythological beast Orthrus, the guardian dog of Geryon’s cattle. Within Shin Megami Tensei’s demon roster, Orthrus represents a fierce fire-aligned monster with strong offensive presence and a recognizable, intimidating design.
