Overview
Victor Van Dort is the shy, anxious young groom at the center of Corpse Bride. He is a member of a wealthy merchant family and is expected to marry Victoria Everglot to secure his family’s status. While practicing his vows in the forest, he accidentally proposes to the dead bride Emily, pulling him into the Land of the Dead. His role is that of the awkward but sympathetic protagonist whose choices drive the story’s romance, conflict, and dark fantasy adventure.
