Overview
Glinda Upland is a central character in Wicked, the musical and novel reimagining the world of The Wizard of Oz. She is a popular, ambitious, and charismatic young woman who becomes the Good Witch of the South. In the story, Glinda begins as a privileged student at Shiz University and develops a complicated friendship with Elphaba. Her role is to represent social influence, transformation, and the tension between appearance and genuine morality.
