Overview
RoboCop is the cyborg law-enforcement officer protagonist of the RoboCop franchise. Originally the murdered police officer Alex Murphy, he is rebuilt into a heavily armored half-man, half-machine enforcer by Omni Consumer Products. As RoboCop, he serves as a symbol of justice, identity, and corporate control, fighting crime in dystopian Detroit while struggling to recover his human memories and sense of self.
