Overview
Muto is a fictional kaiju from the Godzilla franchise, first appearing in the 2014 film Godzilla. The name refers to the Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism, a category used by Monarch to classify the species. MUTOs are giant parasitic monsters that feed on radiation and are among Godzilla’s most dangerous rivals. They play a major role as the primary antagonistic creatures in the film, driving much of the destruction and conflict as Godzilla confronts them to restore balance.
