FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam is a heavily armed variant of the RX-78-1 Gundam from the Mobile Suit Variations (MSV) lineup. Designed as an upgraded concept for increased firepower and survivability, it mounts extra armor and a large number of weapons for long-range and close-range combat. It is not a character in the traditional sense, but a fictional mobile suit that represents the Federation's experimental effort to create a more durable and offensively powerful Gundam during the One Year War.
