Overview
Jake Sully is the main protagonist of Avatar. A former human Marine who becomes paraplegic, he is recruited to participate in the Avatar Program on Pandora. Using an avatar body, he gradually learns about the Na'vi people and their culture, eventually becoming a key protector of Pandora. Jake's role in the story is central: he bridges the human and Na'vi worlds, evolves from outsider to leader, and stands at the heart of the conflict between exploitation and coexistence.
