Sayu Ogiwara is a central character in the anime series 'Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou.' She is a high school runaway who ends up living with Yoshida, a salaryman who finds her sitting under a lamppost late one night. Sayu has a troubled past that led her to escape her home in Hokkaido, and throughout the series, she struggles to find herself and confront her personal issues. Her presence deeply affects Yoshida and other characters, as she learns to open up and seek a better future.
