Overview
Porco Rosso is the protagonist of Kurenai no Buta (Porco Rosso), a skilled former World War I fighter pilot who now works as a bounty hunter in the Adriatic Sea. Cursed with a pig’s face, he is cynical, independent, and quietly heroic. Throughout the story, he protects air travelers from sky pirates and confronts rival pilot Curtis while also reflecting on loss, identity, and freedom.
