Overview
Naru Sekiya is the main protagonist of Hanayamata, a cheerful but somewhat shy middle school girl who becomes drawn into the world of yosakoi dance after meeting the lively transfer student Hana. She starts out lacking confidence and feeling ordinary, but gradually grows through friendship, practice, and performance. Naru serves as the emotional center of the series, representing self-discovery, teamwork, and the courage to step beyond one’s comfort zone.
