Overview
Kanako Miyamae is the main protagonist of Maria Holic, a high school girl who transfers to an all-girls Catholic academy in hopes of finding true love with a beautiful girl. Energetic, dramatic, and often unlucky, she becomes entangled in a chaotic school life centered on Mariya Shidou, whose cross-dressing secret and teasing personality repeatedly derail Kanako’s romantic fantasies. Her role in the series is that of the comedic lead and viewpoint character, driving much of the story’s humor and misunderstandings.
