Overview

Ness is the main protagonist of Mother 2, known outside Japan as EarthBound. He is a young boy from Onett who discovers he is one of the chosen children destined to stop the alien threat of Giygas. Using psychic powers called PSI, a baseball bat, and his courage, he travels across the world with his friends to collect the eight melodies and awaken his true potential. Ness serves as the central hero of the story and the player character for most of the game.
