Overview
Mizu is the protagonist of Blue Eye Samurai, a fiercely skilled swordfighter driven by revenge and survival. Born of mixed heritage in Edo-period Japan, Mizu is treated as an outsider and hides a painful past behind a stoic, hardened exterior. The character travels across Japan pursuing the people responsible for their suffering, while confronting identity, gender, and belonging. Mizu serves as the central lens of the series, anchoring its action, emotional conflict, and themes of isolation, resilience, and self-discovery.
