Overview
Manji is the immortal swordsman and central protagonist of Mugen no Juunin (Blade of the Immortal). Cursed with "kessenchū," sacred bloodworms that prevent him from dying, he wanders Japan seeking redemption for his past crimes. He becomes the bodyguard of Rin Asano, a young woman determined to avenge her parents. Tough, sarcastic, and deeply burdened by guilt, Manji is both a fearsome fighter and a reluctant protector whose journey drives the series' story.
