Overview
Gendou Ikari is a central character in Shin Seiki Evangelion, serving as the commander of NERV and the father of Shinji Ikari. Cold, calculating, and emotionally distant, he leads the organization’s efforts to combat the Angels while pursuing his own hidden agenda tied to Human Instrumentality. His harsh relationship with Shinji and obsession with Yui Ikari shape much of the series’ conflict, making him one of the most important and enigmatic figures in the story.
