Overview
Dogmeat is a recurring canine companion in the Fallout series, best known for appearing as a loyal, intelligent, and highly dependable ally to the player. In Fallout 4, he serves as one of the earliest companions and can track enemies, find items, and help in combat. Though not a human character, Dogmeat plays an important emotional role in the series as a symbol of loyalty and survival in the wasteland. He is often portrayed as a German Shepherd or similar dog breed.
