Overview
Protoga is a Pokémon species from the Pocket Monsters (Pokémon) series. Known as Tirtouga in English, Protoga is a Water/Rock-type Pokémon resembling an ancient sea turtle. Protoga is introduced in Generation V and is revived from the Cover Fossil. In the anime and games, it is depicted as a prehistoric Pokémon that lived about 100 million years ago. Protoga plays a minor but memorable role in the series, often featured in episodes involving fossils, archaeology, and ancient Pokémon.
